Street dogs are part of our society. They are born and brought up on the streets. They live on rags and discarded food from the houses. Man’s relationship with them is very old but we do not care for them instead of that we get a great delight in tormenting them. We often see that they are beaten by sticks, hurt by throwing stones, scared by burning crackers and many other ways to irritate them. Such cruel actions towards the street dog are undesirable. Dogs are the most loyal and intelligent of all animals. We can use these qualities for our protection and safety. As they are part of the ecosystem, they should be treated equally. We should be humane towards them. Some NGOs can also come forward to take care of them.
