Sir,
Through your esteemed column, I would like to ventilate my strong feeling against the thoughtless use of loudspeakers causing a great disturbance to the people.
Now it has become an awful fashion of using loudspeakers during feasts, festivals and functions. It is the main source of sound pollution. There is no complaint about their enjoyment but there should be a certain limit. By the name of such occasions, the loudspeakers are on blaring loudly from morning to midnight avoiding the permissible limit. It is the cause of great irritation for people to listen to indecent songs for the whole day. They do not care about the old and the patients. Students who are preparing for the examination are highly affected by it.
In such circumstances, I am earnestly requesting the concerned authority to take strict action against the offenders.
